Officially Moved

On Tuesday we spent our first night in the new house and after several gruelling days of cleaning and moving bits and pieces, we are all settled.

This week we have arranged to have Telstra and Foxtel connected and to our immense surprise it was all done quickly and without any problems. Our oven door was fixed today and the driveway is half completed - just awaiting a second coat of sealant. If the weather stays clear a path will be laid at the side of the house and our mail box will go in as well tomorrow.

The house itself is amazing and feels so huge for just us two. We are really enjoying our fireplace, the cosy media room and our beautiful master suite. Between the king size bed we splurged on and ensuite (that raindrop shower is glorious), I feel like we are living in a hotel!

Most of our furniture has worked really well in the space (minus one older Nick Scali lounge which is too big). We just need to save some more money to finish furnishing the interior.

I'm going to decorate one room at a time and will reveal them as we finish each one. For now I do have a 'reveal' of our front entryway to share. I tried my hand a painting a feature wall and have collected some great artwork that fits those big recesses.

    1. Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely comment Akaynjax. We certainly are very pleased with the end result. I must admit, I don't think the novelty of those clipsal switches will ever wear off - such a fun product!

    1. Hi Shash, I have been thinking for days trying to remember the name of our yellow paint for you. We got a lot of yellow test pots back in July last year and I had to have the shade colour matched because I had ripped the label off when opening the tin. It is definitely a Taubmans interior shade and I remember thinking the sample swatch looked quite dark - like a more earthy, mustard shade. If you jump onto the Taubmas website and look at their colour chart, you could pick out a couple of shades that look close and try some test pots. Different natural light makes a big different to how bright it will look. Good luck with it ! :)
